Iranians can once again apply for Saint Lucian citizenship through investment
Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program Re-Opens to Iranians.
The CIP Unit has announced that Iranian citizens will be able to invest in Saint Lucia from September 2022 and receive citizenship in exchange. The news was released on September 14th, 2022 by Mc Claude Emmanuel, Chief Executive Officer of the Citizenship by Investment Unit. Because the company has reached an agreement with due diligence service providers who are able to perform the standard level of due diligence on Iranians, he says, the Unit has been able to secure relationships. In August 2018, the Citizenship by Investment Unit stopped accepting applications from Iranians or Iranian citizens, who were denied due to security issues and a lack of due diligence companies. Iranian citizens and their families can now receive St Lucia citizenship in exchange for investing in the country.
Saint Lucia is a wonderful place to obtain a second passport for Iranian citizens. Saint Lucia passport holders can travel visa-free to over 140 countries, including the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore. It’s a great option for Iranian citizens who want more freedom of movement than they get with their Iranian passport. Family members can include spouse, children up to 30 years of age, parents, grandparents, and siblings. There are no residency or travel restrictions. It can all be done online. According to the CIP Unit, the average processing time for applications in 2020/2021 was 66 days. The capital, wealth, and inheritance taxes that would normally be required on worldwide income will not apply to Saint Lucia citizens.
Investment Option Costs:
A donation to the National Economic Fund (NEF) is requested in the amount of $100,000. A family of five (family includes spouse) may qualify for $150,000. Each additional dependent, of any age, qualifies for $25,000. Each dependent in addition to a family of four (family includes spouse) qualifies for $15,000.
